Bracken is a charming traditional Irish Farmhouse on a working farm nestling between the drumlins in County Cavan, a county famous for having a lake for each day of the year. Whether you come here to fish, golf, horseride or simply relax you are assured a warm welcome by your hosts and neighbours and a memorable stay.

Situated in the lakelands of Ulster, this is an ideal place for relaxing and getting away from it all. It's also a great spot to discover historic sites and visit local museums. Local activities include golf, horse riding, walking, swimming and fishing (golf clubs, bicycles and boats are available for hire nearby.) Bracken is situated 5km from famous Lough Sheelin and Lough Gowna and only 4km from Killykeen National Forest Park with a choice of nature walks. Enjoy watching farming activities and chatting with friendly neighbours.

Ballinagh (the nearest village) is 1km away and has two supermarkets, five traditional Irish Pubs, a Restaurant with resident chef and a Chinese takeaway. There is Irish music and various entertainment in Pubs weekly. Throughout the summer months there are lots of local festivals which we will be happy to keep you up to date with.
